Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026  ·  Effective: June 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) explains how Pasley Hill LLC (“BeHonored.ai,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use BeHonored.ai — our website at behonored.ai and our application at app.behonored.ai (together, the “Service”). It also explains, in plain language, how we handle your mobile phone number and text-message (SMS) consent.

We do not sell or rent your personal information — ever. We have never sold or rented personal information, and we never will. We also do not “share” your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use the sensitive details you share — your VA, disability, health, or financial information — for advertising or to train AI models. See How we share information and How we protect information.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide to us

  • Account information — your name, email address, mobile phone number, and login credentials when you create an account or join our waitlist.
  • Information you share to prepare VA forms — details you choose to give the assistant so it can help you find and complete the right forms. Depending on your situation, this may include sensitive information such as military service history, dependents and family information, VA file or claim numbers, disability- or health-related information, and financial information. You decide what to share, and you should share only what is needed for the help you want.
  • Payment information — when you purchase a completed PDF, our payment processor collects the payment details needed to complete your purchase. We do not store your full payment-card number.
  • Communications — messages you send us (for example, support requests) and your replies to our texts, calls, or emails.

Sensitive information

Some of what you choose to share is sensitive personal information — for example, VA file or claim numbers, disability- or health-related details, and financial information. We process your sensitive information only with your consent and only to provide the help you request. You give that consent when you choose to share the information with the assistant for that purpose, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us or deleting the information. We collect only what is needed for the help you want, apply heightened safeguards to protect it, do not use it for advertising, and do not sell it. You decide what to share.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken in the Service.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. See Cookies & analytics.

2. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the Service — help you identify the right VA forms, complete them, and understand the next steps;
  • Process your purchases and deliver the completed PDF you buy;
  • Create and secure your account and verify your identity;
  • Send you service-related communications by text message, phone call, or email — for example, one-time verification codes, account and security alerts, status updates, reminders, and replies to your support requests;
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer support;
  • Maintain, debug, secure, and improve the Service;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your personal information or the sensitive details you share to prepare forms to train AI models, and we do not sell your information. If we ever offer a feature that would use your content to train models, it will be optional, off by default, and subject to your separate opt-in consent.

3. Mobile information & text messaging

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, we use it to send you service and transactional text messages (SMS/MMS) — such as one-time verification codes, account and security alerts, status updates about the forms and claims you’re working on, reminders, and customer-support replies. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. For full details, see our SMS Terms.

How we handle your mobile opt-in data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and our text-message delivery provider, is permitted solely to operate the messaging program on our behalf. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, and are not sold.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted advertising across other companies’ sites or apps). We disclose information only as described here:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) — companies that perform services for us under contract, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, our text-message and telephone delivery provider, email delivery, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • At your direction — when you ask us to, or when you choose to download, share, or submit your prepared forms.
  • Legal & safety — when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or us.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to this Policy; any recipient will be required to honor this Policy, including our commitments not to sell or rent your personal information and to protect your sensitive information.

Your text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates, and are not sold.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. We retain account information while your account is active and, after you close your account, delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period (for example, within 90 days) unless a longer period is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. We collect only the sensitive information necessary to deliver the help you request, and we do not retain or use your personal or sensitive information to train AI models. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

6. How we protect information

Protecting veterans’ information is central to how we build BeHonored.ai. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, and we review our security practices regularly. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls that limit access to personal information on a need-to-know basis, multi-factor authentication for account sign-in, and contractual security requirements for the service providers that process data on our behalf. We apply heightened safeguards to sensitive information such as your VA, disability-, health-, and financial-related details, and we limit how much of it we collect and how long we keep it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and no service can guarantee absolute security; we cannot promise that your information will always remain secure, but we work hard to protect it. Please keep your login credentials confidential and notify us promptly at privacy@behonored.ai if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

If a data breach occurs

If we discover a breach of security involving your unsecured personal or health-related information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 calendar days after we discover the breach, and we will notify the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and any other authorities as required by applicable law, including the FTC’s Health Breach Notification Rule. Our notice will describe what happened, the types of information involved, the steps you can take to protect yourself, what we are doing in response, and how to contact us. If a breach affects 500 or more individuals, we will also provide notice to the FTC and to prominent media as required.

7. Your rights & choices

You can exercise the following choices and, depending on where you live, the rights below.

Choices for everyone

  • Text messages — reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help, or contact us. Opting out of service texts may stop one-time verification codes used to sign in.
  • Phone calls — you may ask us to stop calling you for non-essential purposes at any time.
  • Email — unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in the email or by contacting us.
  • Account information — review and update your account information, or ask us to delete your account.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your state (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know about and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • receive a portable copy of your personal information;
  • opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted/cross-context behavioral advertising; and
  • opt out of certain profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell or rent personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Sensitive personal information

We use your sensitive personal information only to provide the Service you ask for and for related purposes permitted by law (such as security and fraud prevention). We do not use or disclose it to infer characteristics about you, and we do not use it for advertising. Because we limit our use this way, we are not required to offer a separate “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” option; if our practices change, we will provide that choice.

Browser opt-out signals

Some browsers and extensions can send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar “do not sell or share” signal. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for these signals to opt you out of; we nonetheless treat any such signal as confirming your choice and will not begin selling or sharing your information.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any right, email us at privacy@behonored.ai. Submitting a request is free, and you do not need to create an account to make one. Given the sensitivity of the information we hold, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting, and you may use an authorized agent (with proof of authorization) for opt-out requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Timing and appeals

We will respond to a rights request within 45 days. When reasonably necessary we may extend this once by an additional 45 days and will tell you why. If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by emailing privacy@behonored.ai with “Appeal” in the subject line; we will respond to an appeal within 60 days. You may also contact your state Attorney General to file a complaint.

8. Where your information is processed

BeHonored.ai is operated in, and intended for users located in, the United States. Your information is processed and stored in the United States. We do not sell or make available the sensitive personal information of U.S. individuals to entities controlled by foreign adversaries.

9. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
